Hydrothermal gasification gains momentum in Europe
SCWG will participate in the conference “Innovation & déchets – Le marché de la gazéification hydrothermale se développe via les fabricants français et européens”, organized by Biogaz Vallée®.
The event will highlight how hydrothermal gasification is becoming a breakthrough solution for waste recovery. This technology transforms various organic streams into renewable gas, low in carbon and rich in methane, which after proper treatment can be directly injected into the grid.

The panel will feature companies at the forefront of this technological advance in Europe:
TreaTech (Switzerland),
SCWG (Spain), integrated in the ECLOSION Project
SUEZ (France).
After commissioning their first pre-industrial facilities in 2024 in their respective countries, these companies will share insights and perspectives on scaling projects in France and across Europe. One of the highlights will be SUEZ’s announcement of its first pre-industrial plant in France, scheduled for 2026.
The event will also host the official launch of the Pôle Gazéification Hydrothermale within Biogaz Vallée®, a hub designed to strengthen innovation around methanization and biogenic CO₂.
